Foothills Conservatory for the Performing Arts (FCPA) is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Seneca, South Carolina. Our mission is to enrich lives through the performing arts by providing exceptional training, meaningful performance opportunities, and community outreach that inspire people of all ages.
What began more than 25 years ago in a single upstairs studio on Ram Cat Alley has grown into one of the Upstate's premier performing arts organizations. Today, our home in historic downtown Seneca serves as a vibrant hub where students, artists, families, and audiences come together to learn, create, and celebrate the arts.
In partnership with Foothills Dance Conservatory, we produce beloved performances such as The Nutcracker and Movement in the Mountains, bring the arts into local schools and libraries through community outreach, and offer enriching educational experiences like our M.A.D. Camp summer program. Together, we are committed to making the performing arts accessible, inspiring, and impactful throughout the Upstate.
Our Mission
Foothills Conservatory for the Performing Arts exists to enrich lives and strengthen our community through exceptional instruction, inspiring performances, and meaningful arts experiences. We believe the performing arts foster creativity, confidence, discipline, collaboration, and personal growth while enriching the cultural life of the communities we serve.
Through educational workshops, community outreach, scholarship opportunities, and signature productions like The Nutcracker and Movement in the Mountains, we provide opportunities for children, teens, and adults to learn, perform, and grow. Whether pursuing a professional career in the arts or simply discovering a lifelong passion, our participants gain valuable skills, lasting friendships, and experiences that extend far beyond the stage.

The majority of our funding comes from the support of corporate sponsors, individual donors, grants, ticket sales, and fundraising efforts, allowing us to provide high-quality performances, educational programs, scholarships, and community outreach throughout the Upstate.
