Siano-Eck Scholarship

 The Siano-Eck Scholarship is open to two groups of performing arts students: college-bound performing arts students and Foothills Dance Conservatory students. College-Bound Performing Arts Students. It is possible for someone to win the scholarship multiple times, so we encourage students to apply annually.

Graduating high school seniors who:

• Reside in Anderson, Oconee, or Pickens County, South Carolina
• Plan to major in dance, music, or theatre
• Will attend an accredited college, university, or conservatory in the United States

 Current FDC dancers in 6th grade or above who are pursuing an advanced or intensive summer training program outside the studio. Scholarship funds may be paid directly to the program provider or reimbursed to the recipient after successful completion of the program and submission of required documentation. 

Applicants must submit an application along with a short essay responding to one of the following:

• What does collaboration in your intended field mean to you?
• What collaborative experience(s) have inspired you so far?

Recipients are selected based on ambition, passion, and enthusiasm, as well as achievements and participation in the performing arts and other activities. Applications are reviewed by members outside of current FCPA affiliation and without any names on them.

For college-bound recipients, scholarship funds will be held until enrollment in an accredited institution and then sent directly to the school as financial aid. Required school information must be submitted by July 15. Failure to provide this information may result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
